Hollyburn Country Club was looking for a fun and interactive way to highlight their menu offerings, while promoting wine pairings at their Panoramic Bar & Grill. Marc Fallows Web Services proposed building a web app - as opposed to a native iPad app - which met all their requirements without going over budget. Using the latest that HTML5 and CSS3 have to offer, a MySQL database driven web app powered by PHP was created to highlight their menu. The client has the ability to login to an administration area and make any changes to menu items, photos, wine pairings and upcoming events. Animations using CSS3 transitions - and special attention to detail - give a true native app experience, at a fraction of the cost. The web app also runs entirely offline, with the menu only updating if there are any changes, making the need for a persistent wireless connection unnecessary. Furthermore, the web app is used to cross-promote upcoming events to complete the all-in-one experience for customers.
